Here’s exactly what Sitelet does, what you download, and how to make it yours. No complicated setup. No fine-print surprises.

Switch between mobile and desktop previews. “Open original website” is the recommended mode: an app launcher opens the exact URL in a browser tab. “Show inside the app” puts the site in an iframe, if the site permits it. Embedded sign-in, cookies, payments, and other features may behave differently.
Select “Create my free app” to generate real files in your browser. Download the ZIP for a web-app package, or the single HTML launcher to open locally. There is no account, payment, or app-store submission.
Unzip the package and upload all its files to an HTTPS static host of your choice. Keep the manifest, scripts, and icons beside index.html as arranged in the ZIP. Open the hosted index.html in a supported browser and use its Install app or Add to Home Screen menu. Installation wording and availability vary by device and browser. Hosting is separate from this free conversion.
A web app, not a native package. The download is a progressive web app (PWA), not an Android APK or iPhone IPA. Sitelet does not publish to any app store.
A launcher preserves the original context. Recommended original mode opens the website in a browser tab. It does not make the original website run inside a standalone app window.
Some websites cannot be embedded. We do not bypass security headers or browser restrictions. If the preview is blank or features do not work, use original mode. The converter cannot guarantee that an iframe behaves exactly like the original site.
No hidden hosting. Conversion and download are free. Choose your own HTTPS host; any hosting or distribution costs are separate. Opening the HTML file locally is only a preview, not an installed app.
Saved on this device. Only the website URL, app name, opening mode, and conversion status are kept in your browser’s local storage. Files are generated in your browser. Progress is not synced across devices and is lost if browser storage is cleared.
Free, from the first link to the last download.
